At a small local newspaper in Northport, Alabama, Hailey worked full-time as both reporter and editor, covering city governance, community events, and everyday life in the small town. This experience shaped her understanding of storytelling as stewardship. She learned to tell stories that were grounded in trust, continuity, and shared tradition. She left the role in 2014, upon becoming a Mother.
